Surface water in our country is classified into Class V according to its functional level, with Class V water being the lower standard and mainly suitable for agricultural water use areas and general landscape water areas. According to the National Surface Water Environmental Quality Standards, Class V water is classified as follows (main indicators COD ≤ 40 milligrams/liter, ammonia nitrogen ≤ 2 milligrams/liter).
Hunan townships use COD and ammonia nitrogen sensors to monitor river water quality in real-time based on the environmental functions and protection goals of surface water bodies. The sensors are equipped with cleaning brushes, which can remove the impact of bubbles and pollution on measurement. Long term online monitoring can also have good stability performance.
At the same time, a standing pole micro water quality monitoring station has been established on the shore, which can be powered by solar energy and lithium batteries without the need for 220V power supply. The monitoring station supports sensors such as fluorescence dissolved oxygen, four electrode conductivity, fiber optic turbidity, chlorophyll, blue-green algae, pH, ORP, NH4-N ammonia nitrogen, UV COD, or oil in water.
